It is with great enthusiasm that I present my resume for consideration for the Elementary Teacher position.  My credentials include a Master of Arts with Teaching Certification, Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting, a current State of Michigan Professional Education certificate, and sixteen plus years of direct instructional classroom experience with students of all ability levels in multiple subject areas in PreK through eighth grades.

 

My resume will highlight my commitment to the empowerment and education of all children, my devotion to differentiating instruction, and my skillful communication and leadership qualities.  I am extremely passionate about educating young minds and helping them blossom into well-rounded, caring, responsible global leaders of tomorrow.  I have enjoyed teaching a diverse group of children, including those with ADD/ADHD, ASD, speech impairments, English Language Learners, as well as those identified with gifts and talents.

 

I encourage learning by using a variety of different hands-on activities, project- and problem-based learning experiences, and technologies that help them relate to their world and to make our planet a sustainable and enjoyable place to live.  I also incorporate learning centers, collaborative group work, inquiry-based explorations, as well as small group and whole-class discussions to teach new concepts and ideas that are of interest to my students to meet the needs and learning styles of every individual learner.  My goal is to foster an environment of honesty, trust, and risk-taking where every child feels safe, special, and appropriately challenged while investigating topics not only set out by local, state, and national standards but also those chosen by my scholars.  I also find great importance in the education of educators and devote a great deal of time sharing my professional growth with my colleagues.

 

I believe that my experience as a master educator, innovative leader, and curriculum coordinator makes me a suitable candidate for this position.  I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you  to discuss how my collaborative nature, innovative classroom instruction, and diverse skills enable me to make a valuable contribution to your learning community.
